Sometimes I become jealous of others and what they have. I don’t only mean money wise but family wise and companionship wise. This doesn’t happen often but Satan has a way of slithering into my mind without me knowing once in a while.

Then I think of the blood Jesus shed for me to cleanse my jealousy and the price He paid on the cross to buy me a life full of His love. A good friend was just talking about Jesus washing the disciples feet. He didn’t worry about what other people have. His only reason to live was to give. And He knew that people could have a lot and still be in great need.

So I’m not going to stare at others that I think of as having it all. I’m going to lose the jealousy to His cleansing. I’m going to fix my eyes on Jesus. That’s where you find joy and love and life, not in what you have and especially not in what you think someone else has.
