How Small We Are

February 3, 2011 Donna New

The past few days have been kind of crazy so I haven’t read or written any blogs. Tomorrow will be another crazy day so this is my only opportunity to write. I write blogs five to seven times per week and I don’t want them to be about me. I may say something about me but I want it ultimately to be God who is the subject and predicate of every sentence.

In 2 Chronicles 6:18 it says “But will God indeed live on earth with men? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain You, much less this Temple I have built.” Solomon had finished his Temple for the Lord and he had seen God come down like a cloud. He then knew that God was not only bigger but holier than Solomon’s handiwork.

So what I have to offer each day is small and needy of filling. The only way for a filling is for me to ask and for God to bend down and say yes.
