1 Chronicles 16:10-12 “Honor His holy Name, let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice, Search for the Lord and for His strength, seek His face always. Remember the wonderful works He has done…”

When we seek Him we pray for His will with all our heart. Or we might pray for our hearts deepest desire. Either way we want the answer from Him not from anyone else. We know He has the power and the heart to give the answer we’ve been needing that’s the perfect fit for us.

Hearts that seek Him can rejoice. We may be waiting on an answer but we know He has the strength to carry us. We should be seeking the face of Him whom we love. His face may have the smile we need, it may have the tenderness we’re longing for, it may have an encouraging look to keep us holding on.

If we remember His wonderful works in the past it’s easier to trust Him with our present and future. Sometimes what gives us the strength to keep on is His answered prayers in the past. And stories of the Old and New Testament where God loved them and did what they needed at the time are the spur we need to go on.

The point of these verses is for us to rejoice. God is strong, He is willing to be found, He is willing to carry us and His past and present and future are full of wonders. Nice to rejoice in Him!
