Freer

Handle not, nor taste, nor touch (all which things are to perish with the using), after the precepts and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but are not of any value against the indulgence of the flesh. Colossians 2:22, 23

We’re freer than we realize. There are rules not necessary to obey. Such as, read the Bible every day. It ‘s a good thing to do but it becomes regimented rather than worship. To the Lord worship from the heart is what matters. You may read every day and find yourself worshiping every day and that’s even better.¬†Memorizing Scripture is a wonderful thing unless it’s by rote without heart.

Freedom for freedom’ s sake is not right either. The point is that worship occurs. The point is that we know Jesus better. The point is that grace makes our hearts more warm and more sensitive to Him.
