Heaven. For Me

May 16, 2011 Donna New

And his head and his hair were white as white wool, white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; and his feet like unto burnished brass, as if it had been refined in a furnace; and his voice as the voice of many waters. Revelation 1:14-15

Heaven is described in physical terms, things we use or have experienced…His hair was white…His eyes were as a flame… His voice as many waters…

I have an opinion that stems from this. It’s only an opinion. “I can only imagine…” But I feel that we have tastes of heaven down here. Some of them are the fragrance of a grove of orange blossoms in the spring; the smell of the just opened can of coffee and when it’s brewing and when you taste it; for me a girl when a man sings to me and it feels like God has put His burning finger on my heart and I weep freely. Another is wind blowing through my hair watching a sunset. When I’m thirsty the crispness of seltzer water ice cold.

Obviously your heaven would be a little different than mine. But my salvation and my relationship with the Lord are different. So we would all have our special gifts from God…kind of like going to Grandma’s and she cooks your favorite food
